Lohjan kaupungin uusi markkinointivideokampanja on alkanut

Lohjan kaupunki aloitti keväällä 2018 uudentyyppisten kaupunkimarkkinointivideoiden kuvaukset.  Pääosassa on tunnettu lohjalainen näyttelijä Kai Lehtinen, ”Mikko from Lohja”. Kyseessä on 4 jaksoa sisältävä sarja, jossa Mikko (Kai Lehtinen) seikkailee Chongin, thaimaalaisen turistin kanssa ympäri Lohjaa. Chongia esittää thaimaalainen William. Ensimmäisessä jaksossa Mikko vie Chongin tutustumaan Lohjan ympärivuotiseen kärkimatkailukohteeseen eli Tytyrin Elämyskaivokseen.

Ensimmäisessä jaksossa on täysin odottamattomia yhtäläisyyksiä viime viikkona koko maailmaa hätkähdyttäneeseen aiheeseen, eli Thaimaalaisten poikien eksymiseen sikäläiseen luolastoon.  Me kaupungilla olemme tuotantoyhtiö Vaisto Creativen kanssa jutelleet koko viime viikot surullisesta tilanteesta Thaimaassa ja olleet valmiita vetämään ensimmäisen jakson pois, jos Thaimaassa olisi pelastusoperaatio päätynyt toisin. Eilisten uutisten myötä selvisi, että pojat ovat pelastuneet thaimaalaisesta luolastosta terveinä. Päätimme yhdessä tuotantoyhtiön kanssa, että ensimmäinen jaksomme voidaan julkaista alkuperäisen suunnitelman mukaisesti.

Jakso on kuvattu jo kevättalvella 2018 ja toukokuussa purkitettu, eli mitään tarkoituksenmukaista ajankohtaisuutta ei ole jaksolla haettu. Mikon ja Chongin seikkailut jatkuvat ensi viikolla Lohjan muissa kohteissa.

First of all, my condolences to Saman Kunan, a former member of the Thai elite navy SEAL unit who unfortunately lost his life in the rescue operation saving 12 football teammates and their coach from Tham Luang cave. I have been following very closely to the events in my other home country, Thailand, for the last weeks. The production company and I personally was very concerned for the lives of the children and the coach trapped in the cave and we were all wishing the best outcome. We realized that the first episode we had filmed and edited already in May, had some similarities to the events in Thailand.

In the first episode, Mikko and Chong visit Tytyri Lime Mines, which is situated underground. Also, I am half Thai and at the end of the episode I (“Chong”) am calling out for Mikko who disappeared. When the events in Thailand took a positive turn and all the children and the coach was heroically saved from the cave, we released the episode. We hope nobody sees this as an arranged opportunity to have publicity, because it was all an unintended coincidence.

The series consists of 4 episodes where Mikko and Chong go around Lohja, seeing various sights and having conversations. The whole filming experience has been amazing and the whole production team, along with my co-star Kai Lehtinen has been very supportive and wonderful. I have seen many cool and beautiful places in Lohja during filming, and I recommend visiting Lohja to everybody. Lohja people are very lucky!
